Third Person’s POV
Ivy interjected, “Alpha Ulrik and Luna Velda have earned their merits. There's nothing they can’t handle. You
shouldn't seek help from Frostfang’s Alpha.”
Tamara clutched Ivy’s hand, her face mournful. “Ivy, Adelaide has always treatedwell. Please speak to her
for me. The things those people say-I didn’t spread them. | swear-"
Ivy shook off her grip and glanced at Beta Valentin. “Let's head back to the Packhouse, Beta Valentin.”
Valentin and Ivy walked toward the Packhouse, leaving Tamara stranded at Frostfang’s border.
Ivy refused to comment on Bloodmoon affairs.
Noticing Valentin’s troubled expression, she asked, “What's on your mind?”
“Luna Skye rejected the gift from Adelaide for Melinda,” Valentin said quietly.
Ivy paused. “But Luna Skye and Luna Airella were close friends... Alright.”
In the eyes of powerful pack Alphas, many believed Adelaide’s favor with Lycan Erasmus stemmed solely from
her father’s legacy.
So no one took Adelaide seriously.
Valentin said, “Don’t let Adelaide know about this.”
“Agreed,” Ivy nodded. “No need to upset her,”
Ivy didn’t inform Adelaide about Tamara’s visit.
That night, Adelaide would leave. They didn’t want Bloodmoon’s chaos to affect her.

for wolfsbane poisoning and others to boost self-healing-
“Did you pay him?” Adelaide asked.
“He refused payment,” Ivy replied.
Adelaide nodded. “I'll settle with him upon my return.”
She opened another bundle, revealing pastries and sandwiches.
Valentin remarked, “The snow’s coming. Be cautious of blizzards when traveling.”
Adelaide softly said, “Thank you.”

Her eyes glistened. “Beta Valentin, | leave Frostfang in your hands.”
“Return safely, Alpha Adelaide,” Valentin said, his worry evident.
Aid would arrive eventually, though likely too late.
Adelaide planned to rally Warscar Trainees and old allies to reinforce Alpha Lance until reinforcements arrived.
Lance, battling Dragon Ash at the Southern Border, would relay Dragon Ash’s movements.
But adjusting tactics swiftly would be challenging.
Adelaide’s POV
Snowflakes drifted down, settling
branches.
The afternoon sky turned a pristine white.
The beauty of the scene escaped me-I was preoccupied with reaching the Southern Border as swiftly as possible.
Though swift, | couldn't travel a thousand miles a day.
Nonstop travel was impossible. Rest was necessary.
| entered the house, weapon in hand, as Omegas offered tea.
After a few sips, | instructed, “Bring in my homing pigeons.”
Recalling my eight years at Warscar Training Camp, | remembered my reckless early days roaming the
mountains.
A brutal beating taughthumility, sparking my dedication to training.
By thirteen, I'd bested nearly all trainees.
Eager for more challenges, I'd provoked many, making enemies who later becfriends.
| drafted identical notes, “Head to the Southern Border immediately!”
Tying them to the pigeons’ legs, | released them.
With that done, | bathed and rested, planning to depart that night.
Just as | lay down, Ivy reported,

turned her away, but she’s returned with Vanya.”
“Escort them to the Packhouse conference room. I'll be there shortly,” | said.
The snowfall ceased after less than an hour.

Vanya rose quickly, grasping my hand and studyingclosely.
Her eyes welled with concern. “Adelaide, how have you been?”
“Vanya, rest assured, I'm well," | said,

“All is well,” Vanya replied.
“Adelaide,” Tamara began, but Vanya silenced her with a glance.
“Rosemary's condition isn’t urgent. Letspeak with Adelaide first.”
| understood-Rosemary’s illness had worsened.
But | said nothing, continuing my conversation with Vanya.
