My heart leaped into my throat, pounding so fiercely | was sure it echoed in the quiet night air.

I nodded. “Exactly,” | said softly. “I feel like | only just started to hold my own as an Alpha-only just started

For a long moment, Noah didn’t say anything, his eyes distant, as if he were contemplating something far

real, you know | would do it in a second,” | finally said.
The words were out before | could stop them, and | realized just how much | wanted this, wanted him- but not at
