Book11 Chapter4.
| have to admit, a woman's intuition is spot on.
It wasn't even dark yet. Jayden, who had been missing for a week, chome.
| didn't know if he thought | was blind, deaf, and had no sense of smell, or if he was just that arrogant and
confident.
His neck was covered in hickeys, of all sizes, clearly from several rounds of passion.
He reeked of a woman's perfume, the sscent Ruby had worn that morning. They say absence makes the
heart grow fonder.
But with a new love, the old one becomes nothing more than a stain on the wall.
As soon as Jayden got home, he started picking fights. Somehow, he ended up bringing up my job.
"I heard you quit your job?" he asked | hadn't told him | quit because | wanted to surprise him.

I had no idea where he heard it, but the answer was obvious.
My heart filled with sadness. | forced a smile. "Yeah, | have no job and no income
now. | don't even know who you're giving your money to.
I'm just living off the rent | collect every day."
Jayden's secret exposed. He becangry and ashamed.
He swung his hand, knocking the carefully prepared dishes off the table.
"Freya, why are you being so passive-aggressive? Are you hinting | haven't given you money? Screw your rent
collecting. First, pay the rent for this house."
He threw two thousand dollars at my feet.
| crouched down, picking up the bills one by one. In the end, | couldn't hold back. Tears fell down my face.
Through my tear-filled eyes, | saw the mess on the floor and the cold, impatient expression on Jayden's face.
In that moment, my heart completely died.
"Jayden, today you chand broke dishes. The day after tomorrow, will you start hitting me?"
| paused, and then finally, | calmly
said what | had been holding in for a long time, "I don't think you want to live @good life anymore. Let's get a
divorce."
"Divorce? Freya, I've been supporting you all these years. Payback the money first, then we'll talk! | barely
chome, and you're just looking for a fight."
With that, he slammed the door and left.
| realized it wasn'tpicking a fight. He cback to find an excuse to vent Ruby's anger.
Now that he was done venting, he was probably going to see her again.
He wanted both ofand Ruby. Jayden, not even in your dreams will you have it that good!

That night, the noise downstairs reached an all-thigh, mixed with Jayden's low growls. Was this a public
challenge to me?
| couldn't take it anymore. | used my alias to remind Ruby again.
She was in the middle of things and snapped back at me, the house, yours.
What | do in my own place is
none of your business!" Peised
"It's not like | laughed. This house really was mine.
Ruby, you're nothing but a shameless mistress.
Jayden, you're just a fickle guy.
Now, | have plenty of ways to make life worse than death for you two.
