Chapter 249
Dunstan's tone sounded urgent as if something major had happened.
"What's going on?" Yolanda whispered as she covered the phone with her hand.
"The State Medical Board is here claiming that Willow Creek Clinic is illegally employing people without medical
licenses. They're going to shut down the clinic!"
Yolanda frowned at those words. After hanging up, she rushed out of the classroom without even grabbing her
backpack.
"Yolanda! The class bell just rang. Where are you going?" the class monitor called out as Yolanda hurriedly
exited.
Ignoring her, Yolanda continued out the door.
"This is outrageous! She thinks just because she aced one exam, she can do whatever she wants?"

"Skipping class so brazenly shows she doesn't care about the school's rules at all!"
"Having someone like her in Class A is an insult to us!"
The students in Class A chattered among themselves, clearly unhappy with Yolanda.
"But she can't gloat for too long," a young lady sitting in the front row said. "I heard Yolanda made a bet with the
academy's board of directors. She'll be kicked out soon."
"A bet? When did that happen?" the surrounding classmates asked curiously.
"She..." The young lady was about to speak when the physics teacher entered the room.
"Quiet down! Class is starting!"
The students reluctantly returned to their seats.
Regardless of the bet's details, hearing that Yolanda might be expelled soon excited them.
Meanwhile, Yolanda was taking a cab to Willow Creek Clinic.
She wasn't worried about the clinic being shut down. Even if it happened, she had ways to have the State
Medical Board officials cpersonally to reopen it.
Her concern lay with Baxter's integrity and Dunstan's unwillingness to back down. If they clashed with the
officials of the State Medical Board, it could lead to trouble.
After Yolanda got out of the cab, she noticed several vehicles parked in front of Willow Creek Clinic.
Representatives from the State Medical Board were there, and even personnel from the local police station had
arrived.
Such a large presence indicated that the whistleblower had ssignificant backing.
Yolanda could only think of one person who might have reported Willow Creek Clinic, but given that person's
family background, it was uncertain whether they could mobilize such a force.
Yolanda didn't want to wrongfully accuse anyone without evidence, so she didn't make any calls and instead
walked straight toward the clinic's entrance.
Around the entrance of Willow Creek Clinic were more than ten people, sin uniforms and others in plain

The two middle-aged men at the front held themselves with an air of superiority as they looked down at
Dunstan, Daniel, and Sharon.
Yolanda scanned her surroundings but didn't see Baxter.
Suddenly, she recalled that he had mentioned going out to purchase rare herbs and wouldn't return for a week.
That left only Dunstan and Daniel, who was overseeing construction with his crew in the clinic.
Daniel was watching the people warily. Having dealt with officials for years, he recognized their tactics.
These individuals were clearly looking for trouble. Letting them into the clinic would only make it easier for them
to create issues.
Just as Yolanda was about to approach, she spotted Samuel and a few of his subordinates nearby. They were
holding Le Jardin takeout boxes and were seemingly there to deliver lunch.
It seemed Samuel had gotten wind of the situation and had cto curry favor with her.
"Mr. Guerrero, Chief Marquez, | believe there's been a misunderstanding. Why don't we sit down and talk this
through?" Sharon suggested.
