Chapter 256
Jude personally escorted Yolanda out of the police station and then drove her back to Willow Creek Clinic.
"Dr. Henderson, your soiled documents will be processed quickly. Someone will deliver them within three
business days. During this time, Willow Creek Clinic can continue operating as usual," Jude said.
He seemed eager to curry favor with Yolanda. After all, he needed her to treat his illness. If Willow Creek Clinic
couldn't resoperations and Yolanda couldn't get back to work, he would have to endure his suffering for a
few more days.
Yolanda invited Jude into the treatment room and performed acupuncture on him. Throughout the entire process,
Jude's brother, Joel, watched coldly as Yolanda administered the treatment. His expression was indifferent and
full of disdain.
After Jude finished his acupuncture session and was asked to go to Dunstan for a prescription, only Yolanda and
Joel remained in the treatment room.
At this point, Joel finally spoke. "Your little tricks might fool my brother, but they won't work on me."

He didn't believe in acupuncture or alternative medicine-not one bit!
"Jude went to the hospital and underwent all kinds of tests. When they couldn't identify the cause, he panicked
and sought random treatments. | refuse to believe that a few random needle pricks from you could cure his
illness.
"If acupuncture really had the power to cure diseases, all those hospitals would have shut down by now," Joel
ranted.
"So?" Yolanda looked at Joel, her expression unchanged. There was even a faint, mocking smile playing on her
lips. "Are you planning to arrestand accuseof practicing medicine without a license again?"
"Since Jude believes in you now, | don't want to burst his bubble," Joel stated.
Then, his tone shifted. "Besides, it's just acupuncture. Even if it doesn't work, it won't harm his body. But the
moment | catch you exploiting his trust to sell him expensive medicine, I'll expose you and personally have you
thrown in jail."
"Oh?" Upon hearing this, the sarcastic smile on Yolanda's face deepened. "Then go ahead and check if the
medicine | prescribed complies with Havaria's pharmaceutical regulations.
"And while you're at it, you'd better get your pancreas checked. You've been eating irregularly for years and tend
to overeat. It's only a matter of tbefore you have pancreatic issues."
After saying this, she ignored Joel and turned to leave the treatment room.
"Bah, what nonsense! | went for a health check-up last month. Everything was normal." Joel dismissed Yolanda's
warning completely.
Not long after, Jude returned with a packet of medicine. "Con, Joel. Let's go."
Joel glanced at the packet in Jude's hand and said nothing. He simply got up and followed Jude out.
"Why do you seem a bit off today?" Jude asked, feeling a little perplexed. "Did something happen at work?"
"No," Joel replied.
"That's good, then," Jude responded.
As they walked, Jude casually chatted with Joel.

"What do you think of Dr. Henderson?" Jude asked.
"What do you mean?" Joel questioned in return.
"She's so young and already possesses such remarkable medical skills. If we build a good relationship with her, it
might be helpful in case anything happens to Grandpa in the future."
"Jude, do you really believe in that alternative medicine stuff?" Joel couldn't help but frown.
"Well, Joel. | thought the sas you did previously. | didn't believe she could treat illnesses either," Jude said,
as he had deduced what Joel was thinking from his expression.
He then sighed and added, "But now, | believe her."
"Jude, you—"
"It's fine if you don't believe her right now." Jude interrupted Joel. "I don't expect you to trust her, but remember
this-whether you believe her or not, just don't offend her."
At this point of their conversation, Jude and Joel had reached the entrance of Willow Creek Clinic.
