Chapter 264
But how could Yolanda have known what Queenie's limit was?
Queenie stepped onto the stage in a daze. The host's praise and compliments sounded like white noise to her,
and the audience's stares felt like torture.
At that moment, she didn't feel like a victor. In the eyes of the guests watching the spectacle, she looked more
like a circus clown.
"She's probably going to keep a low profile for a while now." Gavin chuckled softly. "Did you hack into her
account and figure out exactly how much money she had?"
"Of course. That was just a matter of a few keystrokes for me." Yolanda smiled back at Gavin.
Gavin glanced at Queenie again, deep in thought. He said, "This isn't even the biggest blow for her yet. We
should wait until tomorrow to publicly reveal that this Night Emerald is a fake."

According to the auction house's rules, once a guest had bid on an item, it was assumed that they had
independently verified its authenticity. If they tried to hold the auction house accountable after the transaction,
they would not be entertained.
"Then, I'll leave it to you to make the announcement," Yolanda replied. She stood up and extended her hand to
Gavin. "Do you want to joinfor a late-night snack?"
Riverdale's famous night market operated only in the evenings and closed around 4:00 am. Therefore, it was a
bustling nighttspot.
Yolanda was particularly fond of a crawfish stall on this street and had already brought Sharon and Kelly there
before.
Gavin wasn't used to peeling the shells of his food manually. He held a fork in one hand and awkwardly tried to
twist off the head of a crawfish with his other. His movements were clumsy.
Yolanda, having eaten half of her meal already, couldn't bear to watch any longer and took the initiative to peel a
few for him. She was rewarded with a grateful and affectionate gaze from Gavin.
"You have to peel the crawfish yourself to enjoy it fully," Yolanda stated.
She then picked up another one and demonstrated how to do it for Gavin. He tried to mimic her, but his
movements were still clumsy. By the tthey finished their supper, it was almost 11:00 pm.
Just as Gavin was going to take Yolanda home, she suddenly thought of something and said to him, "Say, isn't
Blake's bar nearby?"
The so-called "bar" was actually just a gathering place for underground forces. Blake had close ties to these
forces. Aside from his position in Doxcon Group, he had his own base of operations.
"Do you need something from him?" Gavin asked.
"We can stop by and check things out," Yolanda replied.
She hadn't been in touch with Blake for a while. It was he who had first discovered the issue with Zach, so she
wanted to have a face-to-face conversation to see if there were any more clues about the mysterious
organization behind everything. "Alright. We can drive over. It's not far."

Ten minutes later, Gavin drove Yolanda to the vicinity of Blake's bar.
"Is it around here?"
"It should be."
Yolanda had never been to this area before, so she took out her phone and called Blake. However, the call went
unanswered and eventually disconnected automatically.
"It's only a little past 11:00 pm. There's no way he'd be asleep this early," Yolanda commented.
Blake had an apartment near the bar and usually stayed there. So even if Blake wasn't at the bar, she should still
be able to find him.
She called him twice in a row, but no one still picked up.
"Wait!" Yolanda noticed a bar with industrial-style decor up ahead and said to Gavin, "This should be the place."
The two of them parked the car at the bar entrance and walked inside.
This tof night was when the bar was at its liveliest. As soon as they entered, a wave of loud music enveloped
them. Yolanda disliked this kind of noisy atmosphere. She frowned slightly and quickly made her way to the bar
counter.
