Chapter 760 Nathalie returned to Stewart Estate, still stewing with frustration.
Lincoln and Dominick were in the living room, locked in a tense gof chess. Dominick was down to just a king, a bishop, and a pawn, yet he remained upbeat. "Uncle Howard, my king's got plenty of escape routes. You won't pindown that easily. How about we call it a draw and pick up tomorrow?" Lincoln looked up as Nathalie walked in, losing interest in the game. He pushed the board aside, saying, "I'm done for today." Ford, who had been quietly watching, couldn't help but tease Dominick. "What a blowout." Dominick fired back, "Uncle Howard's a genius mathematician with brains to spare. Losing to him is no disgrace. Why don't you give it a shot tomorrow? You'll think twice about those remarks after you lose." Lincoln approached Nathalie with fatherly concern. "Vivian, where've you been all day?" I've still got to take care of you in your old age." Her comforting words eased Lincoln's worries. "Vivian, don't you dare lie to me. I'm counting on you." Nathalie nodded, determined to support both her father and Nathan through their challenges.
After dinner, just as Nathalie settled into bed, the intebuzzed. "Miss, Mrs. Joseph is here, insisting she must see you. She says it's urgent." Wondering what was so pressing, Nathalie decided to change and go meet her.
