"That's why those four went up with torches, so they'll be fine. Stop getting so paranoid, unless you want to jinx it for them!"
The chief ranger was simply not in the mood to respond, and he turned to Frank. "Kid, | wouldn't want to trouble you, but they're
definitely in deep trouble. Please doa favor, and bring them back.
"You can have them hung, drawn, and quartered as you like once you get them down here. Even so, they must not be allowed to
die on the mountain."
Frank looked into the chief ranger's pleading stare and eventually nodded. "It's only for you. Make sure they understand that!"
Delighted, the chief ranger nodded repeatedly. "Thank you so much for this!"
However, that was when the girl who harassed Frank earlier strode in his way. "Don't bother! We don't need you!"
Frank merely sneered before vaulting into the distance.
The rangers were laughing at the college students right then.
"You kids really think you get to holler at him?"
"To be honest, if he wasn't that magnanimous, he would have killed you already!"
The girl rofied her eyes, folding her
